in reply to @ 2015-293.983ZNot even a day yet, they don't really take power under November ๐ Doesn't change the need to hold accountable as things progress.
in reply to @ 2015-293.982ZWhat indication do you have that they aren't planning on being accountable to literally one of the tentpoles of their entire platform?
None. Except that I know politicians give priority to what they hear about. And they're going to be hearing about at lot. We need to make sure they don't stop hearing about this.
in reply to @ 2015-293.877ZYour MP is there to represent you… hence "representative"
in reply to @ 2015-293.860ZI think is better for those who vote based on their local representatives over the party system
Well, I mean, STV is still a system for voting for local representatives (no parties involved).
in reply to @ 2015-293.824ZLack of marketing.
in reply to @ 2015-293.725ZDo you want STV? Or just IR?
in reply to @ 2015-293.717ZI have done so, and will try to arrange an in-person meeting before they all go back to the hill.
in reply to @ 2015-293.714ZI'm going to be happy about Harper leaving and wait to see if the Liberals follow through on their promises before I instantly become a pessimist.
I'm very hopeful. But I do believe that our representatives need to hear from us so they they know we still think this is important.
in reply to @ 2015-293.664ZOn the scale of 18 months (the length of their promise) is it a big difference? They will be in soon enough, and we need to let them know we care about this.
in reply to @ 2015-293.659ZAs a Conservative voter, do you support electoral reform? While it may not have been good for your party is past elections, it would have benefited many Conservative voters this election.
in reply to @ 2015-293.656Zsorry. got too excited and didn't read. I've deleted now.
in reply to @ 2015-293.654ZThey would have fared better in this election under electoral reform. Go talk to them. Maybe they'll listen.
in reply to @ 2015-293.651ZHopefully the Liberals stick to this: https://www.liberal.ca/realchange/electoral-reform/
We need to hold them accountable. Tell your representative.
in reply to @ 2015-290.813ZYeah. I hope they keep it. Just afraid I'll get called in when someone accidentally turns it on… yet another piece of UI for my users to get by accident and then be confused by. Off by default should help a lot if it stays that way.
in reply to @ 2015-290.726ZI still have my N900. It's not as fast as my Blackberry, but I still prefer the N900 in every way.
in reply to @ 2015-290.721ZThis is the worst thing they could do. I hope I don't need to maintain a full fork just so my users can keep up to date on other features…
in reply to @ 2015-290.720ZHeard of lowercase letters?
in reply to @ 2015-290.719ZIt was a sort of crazy decision to prevent some kinds of breakage. Though, of course, it creates others ๐
in reply to @ 2015-289.881ZI really like Openshot, but it sounds like for you Pitivi might also be fine.
